MCB & TWB Present Eight Scholarships to ’25 Class

Maggie Wheatley
Meade County Bank

The plan was to present two $1,000 scholarships at the annual Meade County High School awards night. But sometimes plans change.

Each year, Meade County Bank awards one deserving high school senior with a $1,000 scholarship. This scholarship is presented to an individual who completes the Finance Pathway at Meade County High School. However, this year, after reviewing all the applications, the bank felt five students – Lucas Hail, Caroline Jones, Sadie Pollock, Carlie Stranger and Jackson Jolly – were all deserving of the scholarship, so we were honored to present five $1,000 scholarships to these amazing students!

Similarly, there is typically one Tidal Wave Bank scholarship awarded each year, but additional funds this year allowed for Tidal Wave Bank to present three $1,000 scholarships to Lucas Hail, Caroline Jones and Sadie Pollock. The Tidal Wave Bank program manages an ATM in the Meade County High School lobby throughout the school year. Through the fees collected at this ATM, plus the digital board in the gymnasium and the Nothing Bundt Cakes fundraiser, the bank is able to present scholarships to hardworking students in the program. We thank everyone for their participation in and use of these avenues, which ultimately go back to these hardworking students.

The hope here is that by awarding these scholarships we can encourage and inspire the students to continue their pursuit of learning about finances. Congratulations to each of these scholarship recipients, and best of luck in your future endeavors. And please know, wherever life takes you, you will always have a bank you can call home in Meade County Bank.
